MITSUBISHI
R/V4A51, R/V5A5I

In 1999 Mitsubishi introduced a new 4-speed automatic transmission for their Montero Sport line.
The designation for the 2-wheel drive version is R4A51, and the 4-wheel drive is V4A51.
The Mitsubishi Montero Limited recieved a new 5 speed for the 2001 model year.
This new 5 Speed has been in service overseas since 1997. The 2-wheel drive version is R5A51 and the 4-wheel drive is V5A51.
We are pleased to announce the availabillity of Transtec overhaul kits to cover the full range, which is now in stock and available for immediate delivery.

MV Fluid Supplement

Mercon V was introduced by the Ford Motor Company in 1997 for use in 1997 and later A4LD-E(4R44E) and 5R55E transmissions. It is currently required for many new transmissions in some Fords, Lincolns, Mazdas, Mercurys and other makes.

  • Enhances Dexron 11, 111/ Mercon ATF to perform like a Mercon V type fluid.
  • For Use in all automatic transmissions requiring a Mercon V type ATF.
NOTE: Mercon V fluid can be used where Mercon or Dexron is recommended, but regular Mercon or dexron ATF cannot be used to replace Mercon V fluid.
